My degree was in Risk Management from Glasgow Caledonian University, and this provided me with my initial insight into Financial Services.
If you ever ask me how I am doing my reply will always be ‘Wonderful’. I have always had an incredibly positive approach to life and being a financial adviser, who is able to assist individuals and businesses along their journey, is so rewarding. Breaking down the jargon and putting things into plain English enabling clients to gain a better understanding of their own journey, provides a great deal of satisfaction.
Helping people understand how we can work together to achieve their goals and be part of their financial and life journeys is at the heart of the strong relationships I look to build and maintain. Having built, run, and exited businesses, I understand the pressures and goals business owners, entrepreneurs and key people face and look to achieve.
Being an adviser to me is not just a job, not just a career - but a passion. If I can help in any way large or small, or connect people that can add value, I understand the importance and trust this brings. Outside of work, my other passions are football, travel and the ‘exciting’ world of lawn bowls. I have had the privilege of working and fundraising with charities that has taken me from trekking the Arctic Circle to outreach trips to Malawi and Zambia.
If I can help, I will do.
Being a husband and a dad to two not so young boys always keeps me on my toes. Seeing them through their educational journey and supporting them in life will always be a top priority. They are two wonderful young men.
